Attendance News

Attention Parents/Guardians - The day on which a student is absent a parent/guardian must email the Main Office by 10:00 a.m to inform the office that the student will not be in to school. Please use the attendance email: attendance@elyriacatholic.com. Please do not use the Contact Us section on the About page of the website. That form is used for requesting information about EC and it does not go to our attendance secretaries.  We want to be certain to receive the messages regarding your student. Thank you for your cooperation.

Inside the Panther Classroom

Chipotle staff visit Foods & Nutrition class

Mrs. Budinger's Foods & Nutrition class learned how to make guacamole from the professional staff of Chipotle this morning. Staff members from the Amherst Chipotle ventured out to the corner of Poplar & Gulf to show our Panthers a few tricks to making that delicious dip. Afterwards, the students enjoyed taste testing with Chipotle chips. Some students tried guacamole for the first time. Way to expand your taste palate. Thank you to the delightful Chipotle staff for sharing your talents and ingredients. We hope you visit us again soon.

New addition this Lent

A cross was installed yesterday on the side lawn of EC. Today, seniors Emma Basinski, Madison Perkins, Carmen Rush, and Johnnie Shedrick Jr. draped the purple cloth over the cross. The purple cloth placed over the cross during Lent represents the royal inheritance that we received through the blood of Christ.

Diversity Club News

Diversity Club at EC

Attention Parents! Mrs. Heinrich and Mrs. Coughlin have formed a Diversity Club at EC and are looking for new members. We want the club to represent students from ALL cultures and backgrounds, so please take time to talk to your students about the importance of their heritage and then encourage them to join Diversity Club to share their beautiful culture with others.

We are also looking for parents who might be interested in sharing more about their culture or background by volunteering to be an after school speaker for 30 minutes. We are still hammering out the details on this idea, but please reach out to Mrs. Heinrich or Mrs. Coughlin with ideas, questions, or to volunteer!
