Greetings to all of our Presentation Families,

Thank you for the gift of a planning day today! We hope you and your family were able to enjoy the beautiful weather. Our staff greatly appreciated having a full day to review our Distance Learning Plan to make preparations for our Holiday Quarantine after Christmas break. The staff loved the thank you videos. (A few tears of joy were shed.) Thank you to SAC and all of the families who provided lunch for us today as well. We snuck outside to enjoy our lunch and sunshine during our lunch break. What a blessing!

Communication about our plan will go out next Friday electronically, in Friday folders, and will be posted on our website. Along with this information will also be Distance Learning Student Expectations. Our staff will be sharing these expectations with their students in the upcoming weeks. It is important for us to prepare and discuss our plans just like we do for any emergency situations (fire drills, lockdowns, tornado drills, etc…)

During this time some of us may feel fear creeping in. I thought this prayer might help us all during this time:

Facing Fears

Holy Mother, Jesus, Holy Spirit, God,

Our Divine Loving Light and Heart of our Universe,

We humbly ask for the healing power of your grace to help us quit pretending that the life we have settled for is the one we want. Grant us the courage to be the person You long for us to be and to make the changes we need in order to be happy. Please send in your angels to help us stop running from our fears and turn around to face them. Guide us to live a life of dreams, even if we are afraid to step in that direction at the moment. We thank You in advance, with our whole hearts and souls, for answering our prayers, and we confidently await these blessings.

With infinite gratitude,

Your loving sons and daughters.

Let us all celebrate and give thanks for our tenth week of in-person learning. May God continue to bless us with many more days of love, laughter, and learning within our beautiful school. As always keep all our students, staff, and school families in your prayers.

Blessings to you and your family,

Sue Lovegreen, Principal

CSCOE has offered Presentation a unique opportunity for a virtual 360 tour for prospective families that would be more comfortable visiting our campus virtually. The tour allows for a 360 view of each classroom and school spaces. We are not only using this to give virtual tours, but as a marketing technique to potential families. If you would like to make a testimonial statement or have any high resolution pictures of your kids at Presentation that we could include in our 360 Tour, marketing items, or as an update to our website please send to srita@presentationofmary.org. Thank you for your help.
A helpful tip for our new families: the approach of winter means the need to bring snow gear to school each day. Many of our families find it helpful for students to have a separate "snow bag" (such as a reusable grocery bag) to carry these items to and from school. This helps keep backpacks from getting too heavy for little backs!

With cold and flu season approaching and positive COVID cases on the rise in our state, we would like to stress how important it is to understand and follow Presentation's Covid-19 Decision Tree. This is the best way to ensure our school can remain open and that staff and students alike can stay protected. We sincerely appreciate your support and cooperation!
Panther Pride Benefit & Auction: 75th Diamond Anniversary

This year, Presentation is celebrating its Diamond Anniversary. This amazing little school has been educating God’s children for 75 years. The way kids are learning today probably looks a lot different than it did 75 years ago. At the core, however, remains the faith formation and academic excellence that drives this school.

The auction committee is hard at work planning an amazing virtual event. The event will be held on February 6, 2021, culminating Catholic Schools Week. Just as the look and feel for our students in the classroom has changed over the years, the auction will look and feel different this year as well. It is still our biggest fundraiser, however, and is essential to our school’s success.

We are currently accepting auction item donations. Please consider supporting your favorite merchants by buying a Gift Card or creating a gift basket, donating a bottle of wine, liquor or spirits, or creating an experience to share with Presentation Families.

For more information, head over to the auction website: https://www.presentationofmaryschool.org/auction/

Volunteers Needed!

The Auction Committee is looking for a few volunteers at this time. Please reach out to Amber Henslin at amberhenslin@gmail.com if you are able to help:

-Donations: Solicit businesses or individuals to donate auction items (restaurants, spas/salons, breweries, sports teams, retail stores, etc.) and track who you have contacted and what they are donating

Thanks in advance for supporting Presentation as we look ahead to 75 more years of excellence!
