Greetings to all of our Presentation Families,
The 2nd trimester is winding down. It is so hard to believe that 6 months ago we opened our doors and welcomed all our students back to school. What a journey we have been on. There have been ups and downs, bumps and bruises, love and laughter along the way.
Today Grades 3-8 participated in the Stations of the Cross. The second station of the cross really resonated with me today: Jesus takes up his cross - The leader read: “Just see what a heavy cross Jesus is asked to carry. Think about the long way he has to go to reach the hill of Calvary. Oh how great is Jesus’ love to suffer so much just for us.” The children responded: “Worries, illness, problems, cares are crosses we are asked to bear. By your cross you lead the way and give us strength to face each day.”
As I reflected on this station, this past year we all have had to carry many crosses full of worry, sickness, problems, lost work, distance learning, and even death. God has brought us all together to follow His lead, His way, and He has given us strength to persevere through each day. Let us all take time during this Lenten season to reflect on our journey and where God is taking us. Along the way He continues to bless us in many ways.
Next week we have teacher conferences on Thursday, February 25th. These conferences are optional and by request. It’s a time for you to reflect on your child’s progress and make plans for the remainder of the school year with your child’s teacher. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or myself. We are here to support you and your child on their journey.
Friday, February 26th is a staff development day. The entire staff will be focusing on the Revitalization of our school and the plans for our $500K blessing. The State of the School address will be the following Tuesday, March 2nd both live in the church and virtual at 6:30pm. This will be a time for school families and parishioners to hear about our year and plans for our future. We hope you can join us in person or online.
We hope you are able to get outside to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend.
Keep spreading God’s love and joy!
Blessings to you and your family,
Sue Lovegreen, principal
