Greetings to all of our Presentation Families,
As our second trimester comes to an end, we all have so much to be thankful for...our parish, students, parents, volunteers, supportive community, teachers and staff. God never meant for us to do anything in our lives alone. We cannot strengthen our school without you.
Thank you to everyone who attended our State of the School this past week. A copy of the presentation will be made available on our website in the near future.
During the Lenten season, we are called to come together in prayer, to make sacrifices and give alms to those in need. I welcome you to pray the following prayer with us during lent.
"Lord help us…
Fast from judging others; feast on the Christ dwelling in them.
Fast from emphasis on differences; feast on the unity of all life.
Fast from apparent darkness; feast on the reality of light.
Fast from words that pollute; feast on phrases that purify.
Fast from discontent; feast on gratitude.
Fast from anger; feast on patience.
Fast from pessimism; feast on optimism.
Fast from worry; feast on trust.
Fast from complaining; feast on appreciation.
Fast from negatives; feast on affirmatives.
Fast from unrelenting pressures; feast of unceasing prayer.
Fast from bitterness; feast on forgiveness.
Fast from self-concern; feast on compassion for others.
Fast from personal anxiety; feast on eternal truth.
Fast from discouragement; feast on hope.
Fast from facts that depress; feast on truths that uplift.
Fast from lethargy; feast on enthusiasm.
Fast from suspicion; feast on truth.
Fast from thoughts that weaken; feast on promises that inspire.
Fast from idle gossip; feast on purposeful silence.
Gentle God, during this season of fasting and feasting, gift us with your presence so we can be a gift to others in carrying out your work."

Next week I hope you all enjoy the wonderful warm weather and family time together. It is hard to believe we will only have a few months left before the school year ends. Remember to apply for financial assistance by March 19th and to register for the 2021-2022 school year! We may need to create a waitlist for several of our classes. Please do not wait too long to register your child(ren) for next year. We have had several new families already register their children for next fall.
Thank you for all your prayers and support in making Presentation a great place for kids to grow and learn with the spirit of God woven in all throughout their day. Enjoy the beautiful beautiful weather and spring break!
Blessings to you and your family,
Sue Lovegreen, principal
