Our recent Scholar surveys indicate that the coronavirus is impacting them–whether through the loss of on-campus housing, reduced work hours, loss of employment, or the need for technology.
To help alleviate unexpected financial challenges with the hope that they can stay enrolled and complete their course work,
we are offering our current Scholars a $500.00 Emergency Grant. This Grant will NOT count against their maximum award. Grants may be used for any expected expense (ie. computer, Wi-Fi access, rent, food, etc.) that will help Scholars stay enrolled and complete their semesters.
We will send an email to our currently enrolled Scholars (and those with approved breaks in enrollment) on
Thursday, April 2 with a link to an application to request the funds.
ONLY Scholars who receive the link from TheDream.US will be eligible.
The application will close April 16th and checks will be sent directly to the eligible Scholars by the end of April.
While this may not meet all their emergent financial needs, we hope it will help and send a strong message that we are here for them.
