Preparing Scholars for Spring: End of Year Outreach

At the end of last week, we sent our end-of-year communications emails to the following Scholars:

  • Current National and Opportunity Scholars whose scholarship was withdrawn due to no enrollment in Fall 2025
  • New National Scholars who did not enroll in Fall 2025, reminding them to enroll in Spring 2026 to keep their scholarship
  • New Opportunity Scholars whose scholarship was withdrawn due to no enrollment in Fall 2025

These emails included directions on how Scholars can appeal their eligibility, if appropriate.

We also reached out to Scholars who are no longer eligible for the scholarship as of the Fall 2025 semester for the following reasons:

  • Maxed out of funds
  • Timed out
  • Graduated

With Fall 2025 payments wired, your “PC Scholar Report” in your ISTS PC Portal now reflects all Scholars eligible to receive funds for Spring 2026 (filter on Column M “Scholar Eligibility” and Column O “Scholar Status”).

We will also reach out to all current Scholars this week with an end-of-semester email, reminding them to utilize their ISTS Scholar Portal to track and manage their award and resources available to support their college success.

SCHOLAR PROGRAMMING

TheDream.US Graduate Resources

It is that time of the year when your Scholars are graduating and many are looking into resources to explore graduate degrees. TheDream.US has a number of resources available to assist Scholars and Alumni in this process!

As you advise your Scholars, please be sure to use our Graduate Resources Page as a reference to learn more about our partnership with Kaplan, offering free test prep courses such as the LSAT, MCAT, GRE, GMAT, and more. We also have 50% discount codes for the GRE examination fee and sample test.

Moreover, our resource page features both internal and external listings of graduate scholarships, loans, and guides designed to support the application and attendance process for graduate school programs.

Immigration Screenings with a Trusted Attorney

TheDream.US has partnered with an attorney to provide one-on-one immigration screenings to inform Current Scholars of any potential pathways they may have to adjust their status. We will be closing out the screenings for the year by December 19th, 2025. This is the last chance to advise your Scholars to get their screening before the end of the year! We will reopen the screening process in January.

Inform your Scholars to start this process today by completing the Initial Screening Request Form. If they have already gone through one of our screenings, they should not submit a new request.
