This week, the U.S. Department of Education announced a new distribution of $36b dollars in higher education emergency relief funds under the American Rescue Plan that make clear that “all students who are or were enrolled in an institution of higher education during the COVID-19 national emergency are eligible for emergency financial grants from the HEERF” regardless of their immigration status, including DACA recipients, other undocumented students, and international students.

Candy Marshall: “Our ongoing national recovery and revitalization effort took a major step forward today.” See here for TheDream.US' full reaction statement.

Scholars will receive an email invitation Weds, May 12th via Survey Monkey for the Annual TheDream.US Scholar Survey. Please encourage them to check their inbox/spam and take 20 minutes to complete the survey by June 6.

Scholars will receive an email on June 1st from ISTS to renew their Scholarship in their ISTS Portal. It’s very important that Scholars do not miss the June 22nd deadline; otherwise, they will lose the Scholarship. Please encourage Scholars to submit their renewal forms by the deadline.

Please encourage sophomores to participate in this career readiness program powered by our Partner, Career Launch. Over 5 weeks, participants will devote two hours a week to develop their personal brand, learn how to network, and build internship and job searching skills.  The program starts the first week in June.

Here is the email we sent to all Sophomores with a deadline of May 17th to sign up. Please reach out to those you know would benefit from
