Yesterday we held an info session on “How Colleges are Helping DREAMers Launch Their Careers”. We shared data on Scholars' career support needs, how alumni are doing after college, and how colleges are supporting DREAMers.

If you missed the session please watch it here. The PPT here has links to the resources we shared. In a couple of days, Tania will email you links to all the resources we shared.

We also shared a Career Services Directory (Google docs link) where you can see what career supports colleges are offering undocumented students. This is a helpful tool to connect with other career staff to help you implement similar practices. If there is career service your college is providing to DREAMers, please add it to the Directory so we can have a robust and up to date tool.

Lastly, we want to remind you to join our private Partner College Facebook group where you can continue these conversations and share resources that support your work with undocumented students.

If you haven't yet, request to join the FB group here.

In partnership with the non-profit SocialFinance.org and lending company FundingU, we have launched a graduate education lending program for TheDream.US alumni.

TheDream.US team members will be available to answer Scholars' questions via Zoom on Sept 16th's Scholar Hours. We will have topics such as the Scholarship, career success and other support services, but Scholars are welcome to bring questions about anything they wish.

We still encourage Scholars to first consult their Program Guide and/or contact ISTS for Scholarship-related issues, but you can make them aware that Monthly Scholar Hours are also available if they need it.

COVID19 exacerbated inequities experienced by undocumented families. While there is hope in proposed immigration policies, there is a need to address the pressing issues affecting undocumented students and their families.

This virtual, 2-day conference, hosted by Claremont's School of Educational Studies, seeks to bring together educators, administrators, and advocates.
