Over the last few months, the PEDC team has also been recognized by the International Economic Development Council as an Accredited Economic Development Organization and for our marketing efforts through the Media Excellence Awards.

These recognitions are a reflection of the dedication and work the entire PEDC team has been centered on to continue providing noteworthy results for the Pasadena community. PEDC Receives Accreditation from IEDC

The Pasadena Economic Development Corporation was recently recognized by the International Economic Development Council as one of 67 accredited economic development organizations in the world.

PEDC Receives Media Excellence Award from IEDC

Pasadena Economic Development Corporation won a Silver Rank for its The Pasadena Pulse E-Newsletter, a project in the category of Magazine and Newsletter of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). 

Pasadena Loves Local Launches BR&E Program

The Pasadena Loves Local campaign began in October 2020 as a way to help area businesses affected by the pandemic. Today, PEDC and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce seek to build on that effort and extend Pasadena Loves Local into a Business Retention and
Expansion Program geared towards an even larger group of businesses,
promoting economic development and delivering success for all of
Pasadena's businesses and citizens.


Painting a New Picture of Pasadena

Revival is the core of a project by the Pasadena Economic Development Corporation as it seeks to enhance the visual appeal of Pasadena and reinvigorate the Shaw Avenue area through road improvements, art, and other beautification projects.

RECENT LOCAL & INDUSTRY NEWS
Recently the Pasadena Loves Local Committee held its last breakfast workshop of the year; 3 Steps to Creating Exceptional Customer Loyalty. During the event, attendees had the opportunity to hear from industry experts during a fun and interactive workshop. The committee is now moving into the planning stages for the program of work in 2022. Pasadena was proud to host the Economic Alliance Houston Port Region for their annual Gulf Coast Industry Forum which took place on September 17th at the Pasadena Convention Center.

This signature event is a pillar of our community and serves as an opportunity to highlight and hear updates from all of the industries that make up Pasadena and the entire Gulf Coast Region. UPDATE ON CURRENT INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS




Richey Road - Phase 2
Investment: $2 million
Coverage: ~ 0.5 mile (Southmore - South Houston Road)
Update: Engineering is complete. The project is currently out for bid. Construction will begin in January 2022. The expected completion date is Summer 2022.


Shaw Avenue
Investment: $2.8 million
Coverage: Carl Street to McMasters Avenue
Update: Construction is currently in progress. The project is expected to be substantially complete in Spring 2022.
