Pasadena Arena & Convention Center Groundbreaking

The City of Pasadena and PEDC broke ground on the Pasadena Arena & Convention Center Project, a renovation and expansion to the current Pasadena Convention Center.

Pasadena Boulevard Groundbreaking

The City of Pasadena and PEDC broke ground on the Pasadena Boulevard Project set to transform the City's namesake corridor from HWY 225 to Harris Ave.

Next Wave Energy Partners LP has commissioned its Project Traveler ethylene-to-alkylate production plant at the operator's 53-acre site in Pasadena, TX. It is now producing "Optimate" as a gasoline blending component to help meet the increasing demand for cleaner-burning fuels. Next Wave also has plans to improve and expand operations.

UPDATE ON CURRENT INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS
Richey Street - Phase ll

Investment: $3.2M
Coverage: ~ 0.5 mi (Southmore Ave to
South Houston Rd)
Update: Planning, design work and engineering for Richey St Phase II that covers the area between Southmore Ave and South Houston Rd has been completed.
Construction is slated to conclude in Q2 2024.
PRIMING HISTORIC PASADENA FOR REINVESTMENT
PEDC is working to create a permanent placemaking and light installation project, dubbed the HWY 225 Underpass Safety Lighting Project, at the HWY 225 underpass spanning three intersections—Shaver St, Munger St and Main St. The overall goals of the project include enhanced quality of life, creating stronger connectivity between the Historic District and the rest of the city, and improving the lighting and overall safety of the area.

The Historic Shaw Avenue District has it all — murals, small businesses, parks and more. Don't take our word for it, explore for yourself! PEDC invites you to visit the Shaw Avenue District to see the progress made so far in the work to revitalize Pasadena's Historic District. Stay tuned for more projects in the area to come.
