Joseph L. "Jody" Jenkins
Jody Jenkins 1972-2018
We mourn the passing of public servant Jody Jenkins, who was a dear friend to KACo. Jenkins, 45, served as Union County judge/executive since 2007. Jenkins was modest and reserved about his accomplishments in office. He took pride in Union County and admired how the community supported one another and stepped up during times of tragedy.

One of his most respected and influential achievements as county judge/ executive was the Braves 2 College scholarship program. Jenkins and the Union County fiscal court created this first-of-its-kind program to help Union County high school students pay for college. The court provided $1 million to the program, which kept gaining momentum with an additional $500,000 from Henderson Community College and a $1.5 million fundraising goal.

Despite his political achievements, Jenkins was most proud of his daughters, and family meant everything to him. Married to Kelly for 22 years, their three daughters, Logan (19), Kramer (15) and Kennedy (15), were his greatest treasures in life. Our hearts go out to them during this difficult time of loss and sadness.

Whitsell's Funeral Home in Morganfield, Kentucky will be handling the arrangements.
