To the Pace Community,

I write to share the sad news of the passing of Steviemarie DeLuca ’27, a commuter student on our Pleasantville Campus.

Stevie, a Criminal Justice major in the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences and a student in the Honors College, was a dedicated member of our cheerleading team and soror of Delta Phi Epsilon.

As a commuter student from Yonkers, she brought her presence, energy, and commitment to so many spaces on our campus. Coaches, colleagues, and friends describe her as a bright light who was always smiling, a great person to everyone around her, and always positive.

This loss is deeply felt across our community. In times like these, it is especially important that we look out for one another and seek support when needed.

For students in need of support, the Counseling Center is available to you in the Administration Building at (914) 773-3710, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with 24/7 phone assistance if you need it after hours. You can also reach out to the Dean for Students Office and Student Support Services in the Kessel Student Center by calling (914) 773-3351 or emailing plvstudentaffairs@pace.edu.

Faculty will receive additional guidance from the Provost’s Office on supporting students during this time.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Stevie’s family, friends, and all who knew her, and we hold them in our thoughts.

Details regarding memorial services will be shared with the Pace Community as they become available.

Sincerely,

Marvin Krislov

President
