Good afternoon,

It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Wally Bohrer. Anyone who met Wally once, would know that they'll never meet another person as unique, stimulating and expansive from a business standpoint. Wally’s positivity and creativity were not only impressive, but also contagious. You would often leave conversations with Wally thinking about how you could apply more creativity to your own business.

From a career standpoint, there was no one more diversely interested in starting up businesses.  Wally was fortunate to hand the operations of them to his family members, such as transitioning Wisconsin Souvenir Milkcaps to his grandson Dayton Young. The mutual respect and adoration between Wally and Dayton was evident whenever you saw them interact.

Wally was a pioneer in our industry. He was the 3rd President of WAMO serving from 1973 – 75. Wally was presented with the Clinton S. Pierce Award in 1984 for exceptional service to the coin-op industry – WAMO’s highest honor. Over 20 years ago, Wisconsin Souvenir Milkcaps proved in court that their product was legal, including winning an appeal to the original court case.  Wally continued to monitor and protect the legality of Milkcaps throughout his career by remaining politically and legally active. Year after year, he built and maintained important relationships. Wally had a knack for identifying important legislators early in their careers and supporting them as they rose through the ranks, some even to Governor.

Wally defines a one-of-a-kind person.  We were all so fortunate to have known him and interacted with him. Wally will be greatly missed.

Information regarding the funeral arrangements will be shared as soon as they become available.  Please keep Wally’s family and friends in your thoughts during this difficult time.
