“THE PATH OF LIFE!!!!!”
“Most of us are where we are for a very good reason. This is OUR post which has no one to hold it BUT us! If we abandon it, we discover that it is something in ourselves that we abandon. JUST KEEPING ON, through the most hopeless aspect of keeping on, may be the important act of one's career.

In desperation last night, I climbed into bed with little Amanda at 12:02 AM. She is not sleeping well lately and I an sorely sleep deprived.
PRAISE THE LORD, according to my Dick Tracey watch I logged 7:18 hours of sleep last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oftentimes-TOO OFTEN-I am prone to fits of self pity. It has been a challenging 19 plus years of caring for little Amanda and the other immediate members of my home and in fact, too often OVERWHELMING.
BUT............................................
I also have the HONOR of being to many of you Pastor, friend, confidant and counselor.
I WELL KNOW that YOU-YES YOU-also encounter trials and tribulations-many of them unspoken:
1 Peter 5:9 (KJV)
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
As I typed the above words, I was HONORED to receive another COLLECT call from a prisoner of 20 plus years. I shared the zest of this sermon with him and hopefully helped and encouraged him as we also share a few chuckles.
“NOBODY KNOWS THE TROUBLES YOU'VE SEEN-
NOBODY ELSE BUT JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Just when I am feeling my lowest, God leads to me a fellow traveler who is also suffering-many times worse than I.
Beloved, I have some bad news for YOU....................
NOBODY leaves this world unscathed!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I grimly viewed my present situation I wanted to sour.
Much like John The Baptist, imprisoned and soon to be beheaded asked of Jesus' disciples:

19 And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
I am NOT where I want to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My own son Joshua, also imprisoned, remarked to me several months ago:
“Dad, you are doing “TIME!” And you don't know how to do “TIME.”
Now “TIME” is a well known entity that only a prisoner understands.
“TIME” is time spent doing seemingly nothing except merely existing.
If it were up to us, WE would be elsewhere doing more pleasant and exciting things-AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????
WE do not WANT to be where we are at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT........................... God spoke to me this week and AGAIN informed me that I am where I am at because that is the PATH He has chosen for me.................................

YOU ARE EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE BECAUSE THAT IS THE PATH GOD HAS GIVEN YOU-YES YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“I'M ON THE BATTLEFIELD FOR MY LORD
YES, I'M ON THE BATTLEFIELD FOR MY LORD!
I PROMISED HIM THAT I WOULD SERVE HIM TILL I DIE.
I'M ON THE BATTLEFIELD FOR MY LORD!!”
