Music for life
The Archbishop John Carroll High School Honors Choir performed at the Culture of Life Concert and Family Dinner Sunday, Jan. 27, at St. Katharine of Siena Church in Philadelphia.

"The Story of Life" concert was inspired by St. Pope John Paul II’s encyclical that calls the Church to create a “Culture of Life."
Congratulations to Kathleen Carpenter '19 (pictured with Mr. Larimer, left and woodwind instructor Mr. Darrohn, right) for being chosen to participate in the Region VI Band Festival. She was one of 12 clarinet students selected to represent District 12 and one of two students from all the Archdiocese of Philadelphia schools. This tremendous achievement wouldn't be possible without her hard work and dedication to her craft. Good luck Kathleen!
Editorial: At Carroll and St. Katherine, a very special union

Students from Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor and Saint Katherine Day School joined forces for a bocce competition against Souderton Area High School. It marked the first time an archdiocesan school fielded a unified team that included special education students.
The match, set up by the Special Olympics Interscholastic Unified Sports, was the first time in the state that a private or parochial school fielded a unified sports program, according to Mike Bovino, senior adviser for Special Olympics Pennsylvania.

Bovino called it “historic and groundbreaking.”

We would call it something else: Heart-warming, and a reminder that there are still places where we strive to come together, to unify, instead of being driven apart.
