Parent/Guardian Meeting - Kairos 89

There is a MANDATORY meeting tomorrow (Thursday 11/10) at 6:45 pm in the Carroll chapel for any parent/guardian who has a senior attending the January Kairos 89 retreat. The meeting will last one half hour and at least one parent/guardian must be in attendance. Retreatants do NOT attend this meeting. 


The next CarrollforCe ministry team meeting will be held tomorrow (Thursday 11/10) at 2:30 pm in the Campus Ministry Center (Room 222). Any student who wishes to be more involved in the leadership of our faith life at Carroll is welcome to attend.

The Kairos Retreat

Only a few spots remain for the final Kairos retreat of the year (March 14-17, 2017). Any senior wishing to attend should register THIS WEEK - Click HERE.

Congratulations to our two cross country runners who qualified to represent Carroll in the PIAA State Championship meet, Tess Gibbons '17 and Aidan Doherty '20! The meet was held on Saturday 11/5 in Hershey, PA.

Tryouts for Winter Sports

Tryouts begin Friday, November 18. Students participating in a sport for the first time this school year must complete Sections 1-6 of the PIAA form. Section 6 must be filled out by your doctor AFTER June 1,2016. Any student who participated in a fall sport this school year should only complete Section 7 of the PIAA form, unless a student required medical treatment by a physician during the fall season, in which case the Athletic Office will determine whether Section 8 of the PIAA also needs to be completed by your doctor. All PIAA paperwork should be submitted to the Athletic Office. If all the necessary paperwork has been submitted, a green card will be issued to the coach. NO STUDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO TRY OUT FOR A SPORT WITHOUT SUBMITTING THE PROPER PIAA PAPERWORK.

Ice Hockey Fundraiser

Student Council is hosting a 5K on November 13th at Rose Tree Park to benefit The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  Click HERE for the registration form for this great cause, or visit the website by clicking HERE.


Yearbooks will be on sale for the classes of 2018, 2019, and 2020 until November 17.  The cost is now $90.  The deadline for all sales is November 17. Students can place yearbook orders in The Office of Student Affairs.  No extra copies will be available in June, so please plan accordingly. Click HERE for the order form.


Archbishop Carroll’s cheerleaders are hosting a “Cheerful Girls Afternoon” for girls aged 4-12 on Sunday, November 13th from 1:30-4:00.  Click HERE to print the registration form.

ACTS Fall Show: Into the Woods

Archbishop Carroll Theatre Society presents Into the Woods as their fall production.  We invite you to attend any of our four performances- November 17th, 18th, and 19th at 7:00pm and November 20th at 2:00 pm.  Tickets are $10, and Carroll students get in free with a school ID.

Attention Class of 2017 

Congratulations to those who have received acceptance letters to college!  Please share your acceptance letters along with any scholarship information with the Guidance Office. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please allow the Guidance Office 7-10 school days for transcript requests to process. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please note that there is a November 11th deadline in order to guarantee pre-Thanksgiving college documentation processing.  There is also a December 5th deadline in order to guarantee pre-Christmas college documentation processing.

Any student that needs their 1st quarter grades sent to colleges must stop by the guidance office.

Scholarship information is listed on Naviance under “Scholarship List”.  Students can stop by the Guidance Office for additional information.

FINANCIAL AID for the Class of 2017

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form is available on-line as of October 1.  This is the basic form needed to apply for financial aid at most schools.  Please check your student’s schools of choice for other required forms and filing deadlines.  The website is  Students, parents, and borrowers are required to use an FSA ID, made up of a username and password, to access certain U.S. Department of Education websites. Your FSA ID is used to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information and electronically signing your federal student aid documents. For more information please stop up to the Guidance Office or check out the PHEAA website 

College Essay Assistance   

Sr. Marianna Fieo is available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week in the Guidance Office to help with college essay and personal statements.  Please stop by the Guidance Office to make an appointment or email Sr. Marianna directly at

Philadelphia PACCAO Tour 2016

Pennsylvania Association of Catholic College Admissions Officers (PACCAO) will be coming to Carroll on Wednesday, November 16th at 11:30 in the west gym.  A list of colleges that are attending are on Carroll’s website.  Please contact the Guidance Office for more details.

Parents' Association Meeting 

Our next Parents' Association Meeting will be Monday 11/14 from 7:00 - 8:00pm in the Curley Library. Our guest speaker will be our Director of Athletics Mr. Brady Kramer. Please come and share your thoughts with him and the Parent’s Association about our school and how we can make Carroll the best place to BE.

Scrip Program - Holiday Shopping


Scrip dates for November and December:

Scrip Orders will be processed on the following dates:

  • Thursday, November 3, 2016
  • Thursday, November 10, 2016
  • Thursday, November 17, 2016 – last day to order for Thanksgiving grocery and Black Friday Shopping. *Orders processed on this date will go home on Monday, November 21st and Tuesday, November 22nd.*
  • Thursday, December 1, 2016
  • Wednesday, December 7, 2016 (School closed on December 8 – Holyday)
  • Wednesday, December 14, 2016 (School closed on December 15) LAST DAY TO ORDER FOR CHRISTMAS.  Orders processed on December 14 will go home on Monday, December 19 and Tuesday, December 20.
  • Thursday, January 5 – Scrip orders will begin again.
