Dear Archbishop Carroll Family,

This message serves as a welcome and an introduction.

Welcome to the new school year. It’s an exciting time for all of you, as you continue your journey through Archbishop Carroll.  And allow me to introduce myself as your new principal.

Being named the new principal of Archbishop John Carroll High School at this auspicious time in the school’s history is such an honor.  For me, it represents a type of homecoming, to an area that was the place I first called home after leaving my birthplace, Texas.

I have arrived at Carroll after serving as vice-principal of Seton Catholic Central High School in Binghamton, N.Y.  I’m a native of West Texas, and was raised with horses and played in symphonies, so I have a tough side, and a soft side. I speak Spanish and Portuguese, and have studied Korean, Latin and French. I’ve lived in Spain, Mexico and Brazil, and I think learning about people and their cultures first hand is very important.

Archbishop Carroll is on a bold path toward excellence that will provide you with the highest caliber Catholic education available anywhere.  I look forward to working, meeting and getting to know you; collaborating with our team of talented, dedicated and enthusiastic teachers and administrators, to prepare you for the fast-paced, ever-changing unknowns of the world that you are entering as young adults.

We have to be bold, be brave and know that God will not let us fail. He has put us in this place, at this time, to work together with all of our gifts and talents.  At the end of the school year, we will be better persons that we are today.

Here is to you, to the Archbishop Carroll spirit, and the promise of a wonderful school year!

Dr. Anchen Schulz, Ph.D.

Important Aramark Information

For students who use our cafeteria services, we offer a program called QuikLunch. QuikLunch is a computerized debit system that will allow you to pay in advance for meal purchases. Just like EZ Pass on the PA and NJ Turnpike, this system reduces time-consuming cash transactions, and makes our lunch lines move much faster.

You can send CASH, A CERTIFIED CHECK, or a MONEY ORDER to your school’s cafeteria via mail or your student can bring it directly to the school cafeteria. Deposits must be made by 9:30 a.m. and will be available to your child immediately.

For additional convenience we offer an online lunch account management option through For step-by-step instructions outlining how to sign up for an account through PayForIt, please click HERE.

Archbishop Carroll Field Hockey
Bests Episcopal Academy

Archbishop Carroll Field Hockey gave an exceptional performance against Episcopal Academy. They pulled a win with a final of 3-2. Goals scored by: Meg Foster, Maddie Sutter and Sam Swart. Goalie Kimmy McGroary was stunning in net. Hannah Bateman had great transitions in mid-field. Eile Kent saved a goal that could have led to Episcopal tying the game.

The team operated very well together. This is going to be a spectacular season!

Parents' Association Meeting

The next Parents' Association meeting is Monday, September 12 at 7:00pm in the Curley Family Library.

Come find out what's going on at your school! Talk with the Administration, meet other parents (can you say carpool please??) and see how you can get  involved here at Carroll. Learn how to save money on tuition - SCRIP and raffle information, upcoming events, etc.

The meetings only last an hour and are a great way to see how to  get involved. We have lots of fun activities lined up for the Fall - come be a part of it!

Scrip Program

The Scrip Program is a great way to save on tuition. Enroll now in Archbishop Carroll’s Scrip Program to save money on your tuition.

Scrip is processed on Thursday mornings at Carroll. For all retailers (grocery or other), Carroll gives 90% of the rebate back to the Parents and the money is credited to your tuition. The 10% is used to keep the program running.

Giant and Acme can be ordered on Thursday and comes home on Friday. Other retailers have a week turnaround.  To see all retailers and their rebates offered, go to and enroll in Carroll’s program. Our Enrollment Number is 5F56DE9A823.

We offer three ways to order to meet family’s flexibility. For full instructions go to Carroll’s website, click on tab marked Student Life, then Parent’s Association. Scroll down page on Parent’s Association and you will see Scrip Instructions. Or just email, and we can walk you through the process.

Mandatory Physical Examination

Archbishop Carroll High School requires a physical examination, including all immunizations, for all new students to Carroll (Class of 2020 and Transfer Students) and all eleventh graders (Class of 2018).  Physical Examination forms are due before the first day of school this September 2016; however, I will accept physicals NOW for next year.  Examinations done by a family physician within one year prior to the opening of the school term are acceptable by state regulations.  Please note, the sports physical [PIAA] form IS NOT interchangeable with the Health Office physical form.

Please keep me informed of any medical changes, treatments or immunizations that your child has received, so that his/her health record is current.  Up-to-date information is essential in an emergency situation.

It is advisable for any parent whose child has specific health concerns to schedule an appointment or have a phone conversation with me before the start of school. Any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by phone or e-mail:

Click HERE to access the physical form. You can also download it from our website.  Click on the Nurse tab of the menu and download the physical form.
