Leader of the Pack
A Letter from the Executive Director

Once a year, your donations are matched dollar for dollar doubling the chances for the animals in our care. That time is now!  Thanks to a generous group of donors and HSHC board members, donations made to our Annual Matching Campaign will be matched  up to $30,000 during the month of November. The opportunity to raise a total of $60,000 for the animals in our care is one we can't afford to miss.

The number of animals in need of emergency and life-saving care is greater than ever before. The number of senior animals surrendered each day, who require more care and wait longer for homes, is on the rise. The need is great.

That's why we hope you'll seize this opportunity to make your dollars count twice resulting in:
2X the food
2X the medications
2X the supplies
2X the lives saved
With the holidays upon us, we graciously ask that you keep the animals patiently waiting for loving homes in mind.  Whether it's a gift to our Matching Campaign, an HSHC Wish List donation drive, or opening your heart and home to one of the hundreds of animals in our care, your support makes all the difference.
On behalf of our team and the animals we're blessed to serve, thank you for your continued support.

Albert - Adoption Check-In
" Albert had some medical issues in the beginning, but now he is healthy and has finally found his real family.  When we came to check out a few of the dogs, Albert was our third dog we saw. He came in and picked us in a way I have never seen a dog do before.

Since we adopted him last December, he has added so much love and joy to our family! He is very spoiled, but also very well behaved!
He is wonderful with everyone and only wants to be loved or give you as much love as he can. He also thinks he's a lap dog, even though he is no small dog!

We have added to our family with another son about 3 months after we adopted him. He has  been so good with him! He watches over him and makes sure everyone in our home is safe!  I don't know how we got along without him."

Paws of the Month

These four sweet cats all have something in common: they're adoptable and currently living in a foster home!

Brooke, Gracie Sue, Theodora, and Lizzy all have anxiety when they're at the shelter. They refuse to eat and end up losing significant weight, negatively affecting their health and putting them in danger.

In their foster homes, these felines are warm and fuzzy. Unlike life at the shelter, they are thriving in their foster homes. This is where we need YOUR HELP. Foster homes don't last forever, and these sweet, innocent cats need a forever home to rest their heads and chase their tails.

The best situation for these kitties is for them to go straight from their foster home to their forever home ... your home.

To meet one of these sweet ladies, email fosters@hamiltonhumane.com to set up a meet and greet.
