CONSTITUTION WEEK

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

As Americans, we have so much for which to be grateful. Across human history, America shines as the finest example of both liberty and the rule of law, grounded in our foundation as a constitutional republic. We’re a nation of ideals, and those ideals must be passed down from one generation to the next if we wish to remain a virtuous and free people. Our nation is only as strong as our fidelity to the Constitution. Read it, teach it to your children, and live it.

WELCOME, KORY!
This week the Mayor's office welcomed Kory Gaona as our new Citizen Support Coordinator. Kory will serve to assist citizens who contact the Mayor's office among other duties.
 
Kory is a Nampa native who graduated from Nampa Christian High School and continued his education at Northwest Nazarene University with a Bachelor’s in Public Relation’s Communications. He recently graduated with a Master's degree in Organizational Communication from Boise State University. In his free time he enjoys volunteering for a local non-profit that raises and trains service dogs. Please join us in welcoming Kory!
NAMPA FIRE PUTS NEW QUINT INTO SERVICE
We are excited to announce the Nampa Fire Department has added a new quint, also known as "Ladder 5," to its fleet. Nampa Fire Department crew members took part in a "Push In" ceremony yesterday - a time honored tradition. The new fire service vehicle will be housed at Station 5 to serve the residents on the east of side of Nampa. Ladder 5 was purchased with impact fees.
The U.S. Census only happens once every 10 years and informs how BILLIONS of federal funding is allocated for things which benefits our community such as school lunch programs, Medicaid, highway construction, hospitals and education.
