The Pepper Pike Post

Mayor's message:

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As we welcome fall to Pepper Pike, I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler days, changing leaves, and the start of another beautiful season in our community. Fall is a wonderful time to get outside, enjoy our neighborhoods and trails, and spend time with family, friends, and neighbors.

This Friday, October 2nd, I hope you’ll join us for the grand opening of Rust Belt Riders composting initiative at 5:30 PM. Residents who pre-registered for a composting bucket can stop by during the grand opening to pick up their bucket. We’re excited to welcome Rust Belt Riders to Pepper Pike and celebrate this new partnership and opportunity for our community.

Harvest Fest

Looking ahead, I hope you’ll join us for our annual Pepper Pike Fall Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 4th. This event has become a favorite tradition in our community and is always a great afternoon for the entire family. Enjoy face painting, pumpkin decorating, a petting zoo, and more, followed by hayrides, a bonfire, live music, and a delicious community dinner.

Festival: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Free and open to the community

Dinner: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Tickets required

Bike with the Mayor

Before the Harvest Festival begins, I also invite you to join me for Bike with the Mayor on Sunday, October 4th at 1:00 PM. We’ll meet in the Pepper Pike City Hall parking lot and head out for a community ride along our beautiful Gates Mills Boulevard trails and city streets. Riders of all ages and skill levels are welcome, so bring the family, grab your bike, and don’t forget your helmet!

And speaking of enjoying what Pepper Pike has to offer, take a look below at the visitors one of our residents spotted on a neighbors roof the other morning! It’s not every day you get a view like that, and it’s a pretty great reminder of the wildlife and natural beauty that surround us here in Pepper Pike.

As always, thank you for being part of what makes Pepper Pike such a special place to call home. I hope you have an opportunity to enjoy the season, spend some time outdoors, and connect with your neighbors.

I look forward to seeing many of you on October 4th for a great day of community, family, and fall fun.

Enjoy the season, and I’ll see you around Pepper Pike!

Warm regards,

Mayor Richard Bain
