Message from the Director
All -

We have an action-packed line-up coming your way this fall. Our fall schedule begins this week with the Perkiomen Creek Sojourn... Take 2! This is sure to be the largest paddling event ever held on the Perkiomen Creek. To date 140 paddlers have signed up to be part of this epic event. We still have a few spots open, but they're going quick! Also, we are in need of some stellar volunteers... please consider donating your time and talent to make this the best Sojourn ever!

Next on the docket is the Perkiomen Plant-A-Thon. We have a load of great projects, and we need you! If you want to make a positive change in your hometown, then sign up for one of these great plantings. We're certain you'll have a great time and walk away with a huge smile!

Registration is now open for "A Night for Conservation: To Benefit the Perkiomen Watershed"! This benefit dinner, held at RiverCrest Golf Club and Preserve, takes place on Thursday, October 18th from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. This is the Conservancy's largest fundraising event of the year. All proceeds from this event benefit our award-winning education programs and our top-notch conservation initiatives. We sincerely hope you'll join us for this one-of-a-kind evening.

Be sure to scroll below as we have some great new opportunities including an adventure triathlon with the Philadelphia Rock Gym and a new native plant initiative with the PA Native Plant Society.

Finally, be on the lookout for the fall issue of "The Watershed: News from the Perkiomen". Members, you'll find this magazine in your mailbox next week!

Fall is the best time of year to plant trees! We are taking advantage of that fact and will be hosting several general volunteer tree planting workdays this fall as part of our Plant-A-Thon event.   We are currently looking for volunteers to help us plant 150 native trees and shrubs along a tributary to the Towamencin Creek.  This volunteer workday will take place on September 22 nd  from 9 am – 2 pm.   All necessary tools and supplies will be provided so all you have to do is show up!  Interested in learning more or signing up?  Visit our website to reserve your spot today (hurry up, spots are filling up quickly!)
