Representatives from NOAA invited Bill McConnell to contribute to their Bay Backpack website. The blog entry entitled, "Preservice Teacher Education and MWEEs" describes how VWU and Millersville University have uniquely incorporated Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences into required education courses like instructional technology and classroom management.

Gabi Martorell published Experience Human Development 15E, a revision of the first ever lifespan developmental textbook on the market.

Benjamin Haller presented a paper titled, "Ἐν σπέσσι γλαφυροῖσι: The Odyssey Cyclops-Narrative and the Children in the Audience" and moderated the panel in which this paper was presented for the Classical Representations in Popular Culture area of the Southwestern Popular/American Culture annual conference in Albuquerque, NM.
Bill McConnell presented a paper titled, "Leveraging University/School Partnerships to Systematize Environmental Education” with partners from Millersville University at the Hawaii International Conference on Education in Oahu, HI.

Joyce Easter presented "Effective Teams in Student-Centered Learning" and Amber Gruszeczka, Denise Wilkinson and Kathy Stolley presented "Designing and Mapping an Educational Escape Room: The Basics."
Mindy Gumpert presented a session titled "Authentic Project-Based Learning Tasks for any College Classroom" at the 15th annual Conference on Higher Education Pedagogy at Virginia Tech. She shared student artifacts from podcasts, pecha kuchas, and Weeblys. Also, she shared a website design project that students in her EDUC 382 Transition in Special Education course created for Norfolk Public Schools.

Terry Lindvall (Producer) and Stu Minnis (Director/Editor) presented a screening of their film, "Hollywood, Teach Us to Pray," at the Naro Theatre in Norfolk, Virginia. The film was followed by a question and answer period moderated by Craig Wansink. Proceeds from the cost of the tickets went to benefit the Norfolk Street Choir. The screening was sponsored by Second Presbyterian Church.

The 2023 VWU Love Liberally symposium, coordinated by Takeyra Coats, included the faculty presentations: "The Archaeology of Love in Archaic Greece" by Ben Haller; "Love for the Dismal Science: Understanding Humanity through Economics" by Garrett Wood; "Love for Pets" by Kathy Stolley; and a screening of "Hollywood, Teach Us to Pray" presented by Terry Lindvall and Stu Minnis. This event was moderated by Craig Wansink and sponsored by the Robert Nusbaum Center. It included a presentation of “Life is a Cabaret, a film by Erness Ann, a VWU student filmmaker.
