NEW CONSTRUCTION/WINTER HOURS The new construction will required us to regularly shut down the water and electrical systems for replacement. To do this in an orderly fashion, and to eliminate any inconvenience, we will be closing on Monday's from now until the condo construction infrastructure is complete, likely May. If you have a special event to be held on May, we will open for you, or we can cater at your home or office. |

It is not possible to live this week and not recognize the loss the world has suffered with the passing of Joe Pa.
The Paterno family allowed all of us to visit Joe in the Eisenhower Chapel. This final sharing of Joe was given, once again, from Sue and the Paterno family's heart. A member of the Paterno family stood at the exit, shaking the hand every person sharing their grief. True Paterno grace.
Throughout campus were red eyes, disbelieving stars and the white noise that inescapably defines the cries of dispair. Shattered hearts embraced by the comfort of knowing we lived among a legend. Penn Staters all over the world share something that cannot be diminished even by death- we know Joe. Forever remembering Joe by carrying on his life lessons.
Beaver stadium, the House that Joe Built, glowed into the sky this week honoring Joe Pa. The Bryce Jordan marquee elegantly said "Thank you Joe Pa." The light let us know Joe was home again, where he will now watch over Penn State, confident that he didn't only make a difference. He made us.
Through the kindness of a good friend, I was privileged to attend the memorial celebrating Joe's life yesterday. The memorial was yet another gracious gift from the Paterno family. Sue and the family again showed by deed what Joe taught throughout his life, that life isn't about one person, that we're all a team. That one person's greatness begins with everyone else. The seed of Joe's greatness was planted by his parents, and nurtured by Sue. It blossomed through his children and every Penn Stater he touched. It spread like light blanketing the world, and like light, it will continue to illuminate without end.
Words of wisdom filled Bryce Jordan during the memorial. It was a celebration of a great life and the celebration drew to a close when Jay Paterno shared the words he whispered into his Father's ear that let Joe go home, knowing his work on earth was done. And I realized, as I heard Jay speak, that Joe left this world with his heart full of joy hearing his son's words whispered in his ear, surrounded by Sue, his children and grandchildren. That's the image I'm taking with me, Joe's final joy.
Thank you Joe Pa, for everything. Rest in peace.
Thank you Sue and the entire Paterno family for sharing Joe and for carrying on his legacy. The Paterno grace is astounding.
We are.......because he was. |

The Granddaddy of all steaks....
The 22 oz. Porterhouse
The best of all worlds, a tender filet mignon on one side of the bone, a New York Strip on the other. Grilled to your specifications. You deserve it.
"A mighty porterhouse steak an inch and a half thick, hot and sputtering from the griddle; dusted with fragrant pepper; enriched with little melting bits of butter of the most impeachable freshness and genuineness; the precious juices of the meat trickling out and joining the gravy, archipelagoed with mushrooms; a township or two of tender, yellowish fat gracing an out-lying district of this ample county of beefsteak; the long white bone which divides the sirloin from the tenderloin still in its place." Mark Twain
"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. Teach a man to create an artificial shortage of fish and he will eat steak." Jay Leno
"MMMM Steak." Homer Simpson |
