Annual Conference Recap
Last October 20-23, members, spouses, significant others, speakers, regulators, board members, vendors and guests re-united at the Annual Conference of Commercial Collection Agencies of America.

Amazed by the luxurious Opal Grand Resort, attendees were "wow-ed" by the new amenities and elegant surroundings, while comforted with that same great hospitality the resort staff offers.
The conference started with an evening on the brand new yacht, Checked Out. No doubt the best way to start a meeting, attendees were treated to dinner and cocktails while enjoying live music as the ride down the Intercoastal provided a picturesque setting.
The meeting offered 2.5 days of educational sessions and networking opportunities for attendees with top-notch speakers addressing advanced topics for veteran members.
The networking events included a Mid-Day Beach Bar Mixer, Lunch Overlooking the Atlantic, daily breakfasts, including Saturday's Committee Breakfast Bonanza, as well as an elegant Welcome Reception and Dinner. Attendees spent time after the conference enjoying a host of excursions, including deep sea fishing and group dinners!

Idaho
The ID Department of Finance recently issued guidance which states that individual employees may engage in remote work activities without the requirement to license the employee's remote location when certain conditions are met.
See the Idaho Guidance Statement 2021-01-CFB Telecommuting and Branch Licensing Requirements
Anthony Polidori, Deputy Director commented to CCA of A, "The Idaho Department of Finance has adopted this telecommuting guidance to extend a remote-work framework to all its consumer finance and credit services licensees. It is our hope that this guidance provides flexibility to licensees, allowing them to plan and adjust as necessary to address possible changes in the way they conduct their business."
