Federal Funding Resources

On January 27, the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued a memo requiring all agencies to temporarily pause disbursement of federal assistance and conduct a mandatory review of all federal financial assistance. While, the memo has been rescinded, it has raised significant questions about which programs would be affected and for how long.

For communities that currently have federal funding or are planning to apply for upcoming federal grants, these resources can help you navigate. Local governments that are members of CPRC's Grant Assistance Program can reach out to their contact to discuss.

Governor's Page Program

Founded in 1973, the Governor’s Page Program gives North Carolina high school students the opportunity for hands-on participation in state government. Pages will grow in four areas: history, civics, service, and professional development. Eligible participants are high school students in good academic standing.

This is an opportunity for students to dive into the heart of government; and for those serious about civic engagement. During this week of service, Pages engage with influential decision-makers, explore policy proposals, and cultivate skills that will open doors and opportunities. Pages also get excused school absences, a $200 stipend, and have Host families available. The goal is to have an applicant pool that is representative of the entire state.
