Earned Income & Child Tax Credit Awareness Day Toolkit

In 2025, qualifying families with three or more children can receive up to $8,046 via the EITC and $2,000 per child via the CTC. The National League of Cities supports municipal leaders in advancing their work to help more community residents claim these important financial boosts for families and keep more money- more than $400 per tax return — in residents’ pockets and local economies.

NLC's EITC Awareness Day Toolkit for local leaders includes a draft press release, a template for emails to partners, a template for a city proclamation, and sample social media posts to raise the visibility of the EITC within your community and expand participation– in preparation for EITC Awareness Day on January 31, 2025.

Environment & Resilience Subcommittee Meeting

You are invited to one of two online informational sessions to discuss Central Pines Regional Council’s Environment & Resilience Subcommittee. This subcommittee is a newly forming group that will advise CPRC on the services that we provide in the Environment & Resilience Focus Area. We seek participation from elected officials, individuals with a wide variety of perspectives, non-profit leaders, and business leaders who have an interest in serving on this Subcommittee.

On January 16th and February 6th from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM we will have two separate repeat online opportunities to talk with CPRC staff and CPRC Board leadership about this opportunity. Initial thoughts are that this group would meet once a quarter. Start the new year out with a new endeavor and lend your perspective to CPRC and our regional Environment & Resilience work!
