A Weekly Newsletter from Pine Street Church
A Word from Andrew... New Year, Epiphany Sunday, Johnny Cash, and Holy Communion...
Dear Friends,

Happy New Year!

Today, we celebrate Epiphany and the first Holy Communion of the year (if you wish to join in Communion, be sure to have your elements ready; bread and wine or juice and crackers).

There will also be a special musical meditation by Ryan and David with Johnny Cash's Christmas hymn titled, "We are the Shepherds."

And finally, on this first Sunday of 2021, please watch (and share!) today's video worship link and be sure to subscribe to the PSC YouTube channel.

*Note: As always, please be sure to share Hyphenated Life podcast episodes AND this morning's Sunday worship video with your friends and on your social media channels.

Sharing is caring! If you don't wish to share, please like or comment on any social media posts sent out by Hyphenated Life, Pine Street Church, AND our Off Broadway Preschool on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

With heart,

Sundays at 9:30am
Through the Eyes of Collectors - Answering the Critics”.

So far, we have looked through the eyes of the Steins, Alfred Barnes, Peggy Guggenheim, Gertrude Whitney, and the Vogels. But what about those professional critics who lampooned the new, provocative work these collectors championed? What can we learn from those who "got it wrong."

In this final installment of our series, we will answer the critics by looking at some of those ridiculed, but now famous, art works and evaluate them with strategies and skills learned from those great collectors. This will be an interactive presentation with plenty of opportunities for audience involvement. Please join me this Sunday as we learn to see as these collectors learned to see.

Thank you to member Michael Simpson for suggesting this topic!
