The Courage to Live an Undivided Life:
Listening to Questions from Scripture
*Deadline to register is Friday, August 31!
As we return from summer schedules to activities of autumn, would you like a safe space to explore how to go forward living fully who you are, so to live an 'undivided life'?
This men's retreat is about paying attention to the unfolding of our spiritual identity and integrity and helping each other to embrace - courageously - the various roles and responsibilities that fill our lives; mending the ways we have become "divided" within ourselves.
This 24-hour retreat at Duncan Park (formerly James Park; only 20 miles west of Boulder) is an opportunity for men to engage at a deeper level with our true selves and the questions that have heart and meaning for us.
Details and logistics: A basic schedule and list of what to bring will be sent to all participants who register. Arrival times to the retreat will be from 4:30pm-6:30pm on Friday, September 14 with dinner at 6:30pm. Departure will be approximately 4:30pm on Saturday, September 15.

New Children and Youth Protection Policy
God embraces children with love and gives their nurture and care into our hands. We believe that Pine Street Church (PSC) is called to provide a safe, loving, and secure environment for the children and youth who come here to participate in our community of faith.
To this end, a new Pine Street Church Children and Youth Protection Policy has been drafted and will soon be adopted by the Council of Ministries (CoM); the church's governing body.
In so doing, we hope to demonstrate our absolute and unwavering commitment to the physical safety and spiritual growth of the children and youth of PSC in an environment where their spiritual growth can be nurtured.
Before the full adoption of The Policy, and over the next two weeks (until Thursday, September 6), the CoM is asking for congregational input that might include edits or additional provisions to be added to the policy draft. You can review the policy draft HERE.
Please contact any member from your CoM to submit your suggestions and edits.
Job Opening:
Children's Ministry Director
We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Director of Children's Ministry. This is a newly created position as recommended by the Executive Committee (Moderator, Vice-Moderator, Secretary, and Treasurer) and approved by the Council of Ministries (CoM). The position is for up to five hours per week from September 2018--May 2019, with the possibility of ongoing employment.
If you know of a qualified candidate that you think would be a good fit, encourage them to apply by sending along the job description that can be found HERE.
Children's Ministry Volunteers Needed
We are currently recruiting volunteers to serve as "second caring adults" for our fall Children's Ministry classes. Consider the importance of nurturing the next generation of Pine Street Church souls by donating one Sunday every 4-6 weeks to being a caring presence for these precious souls.
Please email Barb Schuttenberg for more information at: barb.schuttenberg@gmail.com
