To celebrate the 20th Annual WoodStoke Festival of the Gulf Coast Kiln Walk, the Pensacola State College Switzer Gallery hosted a reception showcasing the PSC & Gulf Coast Kiln Walk: Connected exhibition featuring artworks by esteemed master ceramic artists from across the region, nation and world.

Gulf Breeze High School Drama brings The Wizard of Oz to Ashmore Auditorium

Gulf Breeze HS Drama is “off to see the Wizard” with four performances of The Wizard of Oz at PSC’s Ashmore Auditorium under the expert direction of Amy Sellers. Senior Peyton Dykes (“Tin Man”) shared, “It’s a great way to introduce young audiences to theatre. It’s a movie a lot of people have watched and thought, ‘I would love to do something like this.’ Hopefully, some kids come, and I can be that for someone.” Performances are set for Feb. 7-9, with evening shows at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and matinees at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $16 through the PSC box office at 850-484-1847 or online at the PSC Performing Arts website

PSC will host legendary U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo to share iconic works

The PSC Lyceum Series welcomes world-renowned poet Joy Harjo, the first Native American to be honored as United States Poet Laureate and only the second poet appointed a third term as U.S. Poet Laureate. Harjo has won numerous national awards as the author of ten poetry books and three award-winning children's books. Poetry and literature fans will not want to miss seeing this legend at Ashmore Auditorium on Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $7-11 at the PSC box office or Purple Pass Joy Harjo.
