PSC’s inaugural International Festival will feature sounds, sights and flavors from across the globe

It’s almost here! The first Pensacola State College International Festival is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 15, on the Pensacola campus. The festival will feature food from various cultures, from German brats to Thai food to American-style barbecue. In the event of inclement weather, the festival will be held in the Hartsell Arena (Bldg. 3) in the Lou Ross gym.

Human Foosball! Toxic Slime! Even something nuclear is coming to Pirate Fest 2023

Ask around. I'm not the brightest guy. So, when I saw that Pirate Fest 2023 was going to feature something called “Human Foosball,” I put on my best wise-guy face and asked, “Isn’t human foosball just soccer?” But no, it’s actually what it claims to be – Human Foosball. Participants are tethered to a pole and can slide back and forth, not forward or backward.

Pensacola State College welcomes Chandler White as new Student Engagement and Leadership Coordinator

Chandler White’s job is almost akin to that of a cheerleader coach/college mascot hybrid. His job is to recruit Pensacola State students to become more engaged with the College, exhibit school spirit and be more active in campus life. White is the new PSC Coordinator of Student Engagement and Leadership.

Fellows Foundation accepting scholarship applications for 2023-2024 academic year

Applications for Fellows Foundation scholarships are being accepted through May 1. Available to students majoring in health care fields or the ministry, the scholarships will be awarded in July for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year. The scholarships range from $1,000 to $10,000, and applicants can reapply each subsequent academic year.

Lyceum ends musical season with performances by Motel Radio, Kahlo Quartet, PSC’s Wind & Jazz Ensembles

The last three musical performances of the Spring 2023 Pensacola State College Lyceum series are this month. New Orleans-based indie rock band Motel Radio will perform on Wednesday, April 19, while Kahlo Quartet, a Philadelphia-based chamber music group that mixes traditional classical music with Latin American influences, will perform on Thursday, April 20.
