23 Pensacola State College faculty, staffers graduate from President’s Leadership Institute

Twenty-three Pensacola State College administrators, faculty and staff members were honored as 2023 President’s Leadership Institute graduates.

A commencement ceremony was held on May 17 at Atlas Oyster House in Pensacola. PSC President Ed Meadows congratulated the graduates on completing the program.

Meet Dr. Michael S. Payne, the new Department Head for Pensacola State College’s Business Department.

A veteran of both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard, Dr. Payne has worked in higher education for more than 20 years – having started his collegiate career at the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2001. He has been a Pensacola State faculty member since 2018.

Graphic design student’s ‘Golden Hour’ photo selected for 2023 President’s Choice Award

A golden hour sunset photograph captured by a Pensacola State College student now graces the Barfield Administration Building's second-floor lobby. Ryann Makenzie Salter, a graphic design major, snapped the image of the sun setting on the Gulf of Mexico from the roof of the Flora-Bama Lounge, Package and Oyster Bar in Perdido Key.

About 200 health sciences students on Pensacola State College’s Warrington campus feasted on Chick-fil-A sandwiches on May 23 during the Summer Semester Kickoff and Student Clubs Sign Up Day.

Crawfish Cookout

Pensacola State students and employees enjoyed nearly 500 pounds of crawfish when the College hosted the Crawfish Cookout on May 24 in the Building 5 Gazebo on the Pensacola campus.
