Chasity Brooks wins 2023 Pensacola State College Sunset Photography Contest

Chasity Brooks was named the 2023 PSC Sunset Photography Contest winner during a short ceremony at Jaco’s Bayfront Bar & Grille on March 1. A grandmother and PSC photography student, Brooks was one of five students whose work was featured throughout February at the popular Downtown Pensacola restaurant located at the southern tip of Palafox Street.

This is the 14th year the College has received the accolade and the second consecutive year earning the gold designation.

PSC African American Memorial Endowment Scholarship, Wiggins Scholarship recipients grateful for support and opportunities

Teala Reguindin recently graduated from Pensacola State College’s nationally-acclaimed Nursing Program as an RN. She’s a mother of two children, 14 and 8, but it’s not just her children she wants to see grow and succeed. It’s all children, including the ones Reguindin will care for as a labor and delivery nurse ─ once she passes her board exam.

TRIO programs celebrate legacy of helping students most in need

The free hot dogs and hamburgers are gone. However, Pensacola State College's TRIO programs still offer free student trips, academic advisors, free tutoring, and so much more all year. TRIO programs nationwide celebrated a legacy of student service on Feb. 28. Pensacola State’s TRIO Day celebration on the Pensacola campus featured representatives and information booths for all five of the College’s federally-funded TRIO programs.

Pensacola Guitar Orchestra to hold 40th Anniversary Spring Recital on April 1

Pensacola State College will present the Pensacola Guitar Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Joe Stallings, in its 40th Anniversary Spring Recital on Saturday, April 1. The recital is set for 7:30 p.m. in the Ashmore Fine Arts Auditorium. Admission is free.

Priority Registration now open! Register before end of month to win an iPad

A steady stream of returning Pensacola State College students moved through Building 21 in the Pensacola campus on March 1 to register for summer and fall 2023 semesters. March 1 was the first day of Priority Registration, which runs through March 31. Returning students who register for classes during Priority Registration will be eligible to win a free iPad.
