Pensacola State College Adult Education graduate traveled many miles to earn GED

Some routes to achievement are longer than others. For Pensacola State College Adult Education graduate Imer Hernandez-Gomez, the journey started when he left his native Honduras four years ago for the United States to better himself. He is one of 36 PSC Adult Education students who earned a GED during the spring semester.

PSC launches tennis clinics, pickleball camps

One of the world’s most time-honored sports and one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports are coming to Pensacola State College. The College and the United States Tennis Association will offer a six-week adult tennis clinic for intermediate players that begins Friday, May 12, at the tennis complex on the Pensacola campus.

33rd annual Kids College begins May 24 with new camps

Pensacola State College’s 33rd annual Kids College summer camp has new programs and opportunities for children ages 6 through 12, including a chance for some kids to live the PSC “Pirate Life” for a week. A gymnastics camp will be offered for children ages 4 and 5. The 2023 PSC Kids College runs May 24 through Aug. 9.

PSC culinary management grad places in Pensacola Gumbo Cookoff

Louisiana native and Pensacola State College alumna Carolyn Lungaro has been cooking gumbo for decades.

The Spring 2022 PSC culinary management grad recently showcased her skills in the Pensacola Gumbo Cookoff held April 22. Lungaro won first place in showmanship and second place in judges voting for her Mama C’s Cajun Cookin’ Chicken and Sausage Gumbo.

PSC’s Finals Week morphs into Feed Me Week

During Finals Week ─ May 1-4 ─ at Pensacola State College, Student Engagement and Leadership made sure that no one took an exam on an empty stomach. Finals Week activities began on Monday with a Pancake Breakfast hosted by PSC’s Baptist Campus Ministries. On Tuesday, PSC hosted a Finals Fiesta with free tacos, ice cream, pinatas, and even some cornhole games for students.
