The energy was electric on Friday, Feb. 21, as Pensacola State College students, faculty and staff filled the Pensacola Bay Center for College Night with the Pensacola Ice Flyers. Excitement buzzed outside the arena as community members tried their luck at PSC’s Prize Board, walking away with college swag.

Pensacola State College’s Multicultural Committee is set to host “A Black History Celebration: Exploring our Heritage through Music” on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 12 to 1:45 p.m. at the Delaino Student Center on the Pensacola campus. This dynamic celebration will honor the rich cultural legacy of Black heritage through music, with engaging history lessons from prominent local leaders.

As Career and Technical Education CTE) Month draws to a close, Pensacola State College’s CTE team continues to provide informative and entertaining events to support students and the community.

The 2025 Finger Style Acoustic Guitar Competition brought together talented young musicians for an unforgettable day of competition, instruction and inspiration. This prestigious competition, open to pre-college guitarists aged 18 and younger, offered not only generous cash prizes but also the opportunity to work closely with world-renowned guitarist Jérémy Jouve.

For over 30 years, Pensacola State College’s TRiO programs have transformed lives, providing vital support to students as they work toward academic and professional success. To celebrate National TRiO Day, the program hosted a special Open House with a creative twist – a Lunch Crawl, where students, faculty and staff explored TRiO services while enjoying a progressive-style meal.

As a Senior Executive Assistant in the Office of the Vice President, Academic & Student Affairs since January 2025, King’s deep faith and the lessons instilled by his father guide him in making every interaction meaningful.
