Welcome everyone to this edition of the Powell Press. I am County Commissioner Bobby Powell Jr., representing District 7 in Palm Beach County. As we celebrate the month of May, we honor two significant observances: Mental Health Awareness Month and Mother’s Day. These important occasions remind us of the strength and resilience that shape our communities.
Mental Health Awareness Month serves as a time to raise awareness about the vital importance of mental well-being, while also fostering an environment of understanding and compassion. Together, we can provide the support our community needs to thrive.
Additionally, we celebrate Mother’s Day, a day to honor the incredible women who dedicate their lives to nurturing, guiding, and shaping the future of families and communities. Mothers often serve as the emotional backbone of our lives, balancing the complexities of mental, physical, and emotional support.
Warm regards,
Commissioner Bobby Powell Jr.
