Welcome to our inaugural issue!

What is AFCI?

  • AFCI approaches teenage homelessness from a family systems perspective, recognizing that the best way to help is within the context of the family.

  • Comprehensive education courses for both the families of LGBTQ youth and the youth themselves are accessed at the online AFCI Education Center.

  • Our vision is a world where LGBTQ persons are accepted, loved, and nurtured by their families in a safe and supportive home and our primary mission is to end rejection of LGBTQ youth by advocating for them and educating their families.

EXCITING ENCOUNTERS
  • AFCI has received a grant from the Kellet Foundation which will allow us to improve the AFCI website, educational courses and testimonials. We appreciate your partnership with AFCI!

  • AFCI Members attended the Empower Conference at the George R Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX

  • AFCI is preparing to attend PIP (Partners in Prevention) Conference in Austin, TX November 5-7 #PIPCON2019

Allies  are some of the most effective and powerful voices of the LGBT movement. Not only do  allies  help people in the coming-out process, they also help others understand the  importance  of equality, fairness, acceptance and mutual respect.
