October is Emotional Wellness Month, a time to recognize the importance of caring for our emotional health and overall well-being. It is an opportunity to check in with ourselves, reflect on stress levels, and practice healthy coping strategies such as mindfulness.

Explore resources, such as the Gizmo Initiative below, and practical tools to support emotional wellness, build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and encourage greater self-awareness and balance.

Register now for our upcoming training "Wellness Wednesday. When Helping Hurts: Restoring Healthy Breathing" on October 14, 2026 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM in person at the Connecticut Clearinghouse.

This program has been approved for 3 Continuing Education Credit Hours by the National Association of Social Workers, CT and meets the continuing education criteria for CT Social Work Licensure renewal. Register here.

The Gizmo Initiative takes an upstream approach to support the mental health and wellness of adults and youth. This website offers free resources and activities that help people understand their emotions, recognize when their mental health needs attention, practice healthy coping strategies, and identify people they can turn to for support.
