The Power of PINK!
TEMS Students had fun dressing up for Pink day and more importantly, raised an incredible $2,400.00 for Ryan's Case for Smiles! http://caseforsmiles.org/

Thank you for the Costume Collection!
Dear TEMS friends,
I just want to thank you so much for all your efforts in gathering and sharing the Halloween costumes with the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry.  I took them straight to the food pantry on the evening after you dropped them off and we began sharing them with our families the very next day.  It filled a real need as we did not have many costumes for older children.  I wish I could find adequate words to describe the smiles and happiness children received when they discovered that this year they would not stand out as the one with no access to a costume.  The families we serve live 50% below the government poverty line and their children are always the ones who feel left out.  This year they could fully participate in the fun at school and in their neighborhood.  Such a thing may seem small or trivial to some, but to our children at the pantry it meant the world.  Thank you so much and please know how deeply grateful we are.  Please share our thanks and gratitude with everyone at the middle school.
Yours truly,
Joel Stever, Librarian

Help FLITE and Have Fun!
Welcome to the middle of autumn! School is off to a great start, and FLITE is very busy in our mission to fund programs to make sure ALL kids have a fantastic school experience. To keep our expenses so low (98% of our funds go to programs), we are an all-volunteer organization. And we need volunteers! Opportunities range from quick, short-term help to committee members who want to get more involved.

Some examples of volunteer positions are:
* reviewing and evaluating potential FLITE programs,
* writing foundation grants, and
* staffing the various Wizards game stations.

FLITE is a fun organization, and we would love your help. For more information, please contact        volunteer@flite-pa.org
The scripts from the daily morning announcements are on the TEMS website. They provide lots of fun information about the daily activities that occur around the school.  To read through them click here.
TEMS PTO Welcomes Acclaimed      A Capella Group, "Ball in the House"
School Assemblies
 Wednesday, November 15th, 2017
12:30 p.m. - Grades 7&8
1:30 p.m. - Grades 5&6
Ball in the House is five guys, five voices, that's it.  Taking a cappella to the next stage, with vocal drums/beatbox and vocal bass under lush harmonies, they create a sound that's hard to believe.  Following in the path of classic harmony groups like Boyz II Men, The Temptations, and Take 6, while incorporating the pop and neo-soul influence of artists like Bruno Mars, Daft Punk, and Pharrell Williams, Ball in the House moves audiences with their music. With their extensive tour schedule averaging 200 dates a year, Ball in the House reaches millions. They have performed extensively in schools all around the country as well as opened for major acts and recorded the music for commercials.  Their program is jam-packed with music, entertainment and education. Ball in the House inspires students by bridging the gap between music taught in school and the popular music students hear on the radio, integrating the harmony of a cappella music into a contemporary popular format. The group is committed to being good stewards of respect, positivity, and teamwork through fun a cappella music.
Ball in the House will also be performing their full theatrical stage show for the community on Friday, November 17th at 7:00 PM at Valley Forge Middle School in a performance made possible by DELTA (Districts Educating and Learning Through the Arts) and it's member schools. Click here for the flyer and ticket information.
