IT TAKES A VILLAGE!
ENGAGING YOUR COMMUNITY TO EXCEED YOUR GOALS
Dear friends of Powered by Professionals,

We hope that this email finds you, your family and friends healthy and safe. As the COVID-19 virus continues to impact our communities, nonprofit organizations are facing unprecedented challenges. Now more than ever, nonprofits need support in order to continue the vital services they provide our communities. Over the last few weeks, PBP has consulted numerous nonprofit leaders and medical professionals, and decided with our nonprofit partners to postpone our Spring Events season. The good news is that all events have been rescheduled for late Summer or Fall!

Although many things are being put on hold in the wake of COVID-19, the importance of the causes our clients advocate for does not cease. PBP is here to support our partners in any way we can, so we can all get through this together. It has never been more important to rely on each other to get through this crisis. In that spirit, this quarter's PBP newsletter is focused on the power of peer-to-peer fundraising.

Our February blog post featured seven tips that you can utilize to plan a successful awareness run/walk and engage your event participants. From fundraising incentives to course certification, we have you covered!

Volunteers Who Inspire
What better way to learn how to implement a successful peer-to-peer fundraising event than hearing from two inspirational volunteers who are getting it done. Ashley Camara, a Courage Awardee at this year's Chicago MDS Awareness Walk, talks about how to channel her fight into motivating others. Jodi Lynn Kaye, founder of Oligo Nation's Inspiration Event, has propelled her do-it-yourself event into a fundraising powerhouse.
Ashley Camaro is in her second year fundraising for the Chicago MDS Foundation Awareness Walk. Ashley, a MDS patient herself, i s constantly inspired by her 23-year-old brother who lost his battle to MDS.
