I cannot over-emphasise both the need for much prayer in these difficult times, and also the power of prayer! All my life, prayer has been my relationship with Jesus my Saviour and Friend.

As you read this email, I am preparing to travel to Armenia for the first National Day of Prayer in Yerevan. To prepare, I fly out early morning on Thursday May 25th, with a final day for preparation, although obviously everything is done locally by our friends and staff in Armenia. The actual Prayer is Saturday 27th. This is followed by ministry in a local church on the Sunday, then I fly home on the Monday which is a Bank Holiday here in UK. Then it’s back into Kyiv for the Day of Prayer on June 10th 

What we are doing in Armenia is a powerful miracle. Many years ago, in 2005 I held a massive evangelistic meeting in Yerevan, again in 2009 in various cities, so successful there was a strong persecution, so strong that when one year later we booked and paid for the stadium to evangelise in Yerevan, the government cancelled the contract. Our organisers feared I would be arrested on arrival, but in faith had booked another venue outside of the city. Military police actually closed the roads around Yerevan with roadblocks and checkpoints to prevent me leaving the city! But we slipped through on a road they didn’t expect! 

So, what we are doing in Armenia now is a miracle, bringing together all denominations for a Day of Prayer to break the demonic power and bring down the Holy Spirit, to open the way for God to bring salvation to this nation! In a similar way to Ukraine, it is the fear of the escalating genocidal aggression of Moslem Azerbaijan against the Armenian Christian enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh, which significantly began in earnest in 2010; it is God’s perfect timing to take us back into the country at this specific moment in time. Only powerful prayer in faith can save the nation; it will be an historic event as in Ukraine. I cannot directly evangelise governments, but you and I can demonstrate God’s Power to them by delivering what will be an historic victory. 

Armenia was the first country in the world to become Christian, dating back to the 4th century, and they claim that it was the Apostle Andrew who brought the Gospel to them in the first century! They, along with Georgia, have held out against Islam for centuries, and I am called by God to both these countries as well as the Moslem countries of Central Asia, including Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, now! I will evangelise openly in these countries this year – with your support backing me up in prayer and finance!

In my spirit I feel I am waging war on the enemy. But it is with the Word of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit that we win through and defeat every demonic power, not with swords or guns. Interestingly since last year, both I myself and the whole of Eurovision have been under attack by human powers influenced by Satan himself to both hinder and stop this new move of God! But thank God the Power of Prayer is defeating every attack!

I am extremely conscious that demonic power has massively increased in these recent years. Lucifer, to give him his Biblical name, is more aware than much of the Church that we are in the last days before Jesus returns as the Christ who will take over and rule this world for 1000 years! So he, the devil, is actively attempting to persecute Christians and destroy nations. No! He will not succeed because God’s Word say that the very ‘gates’ of Hell cannot prevail. But it does mean that we are now in, not a so-called ‘Third World War’, but facing a spiritual attempt to destroy God’s Creation with nothing left for Jesus to rule over! Wake up Church! Recognise the danger of this demonic plan! I learnt the importance of knowing the enemy’s plan as a young man when studying to defeat Russian chess champions!

I believe that God is revealing much to me prophetically. That’s why I am calling for Bible-Believing, Christ-Expecting men and women to volunteer for the frontline and fight in Spiritual Warfare. We need the same spirit which has been demonstrated in Ukraine to encourage the Church. Many Christians talk about praying for revival – I am talking about Spiritual War!
