“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1-2).

King David knew that his help came from above, that it why he set his spiritual eyesight on the Lord. Likewise, we too must cast our vision upon the Lord in focused prayer, and present to Him specific needs according to His divine will. 

Sometimes the best hiding place is in plain sight. Oftentimes, the best place to hide is where no one would expect to find you. 

I was awakened recently with the idea of being “hidden in plain sight.” Sometimes we need a place to hide, a refuge, a cleft in the rock, or a shadow under which to abide. Yet, sometimes in these moments of needing to be hidden, we really desire to be seen. We run and hide because life, its battles, trials, temptations, struggles, and hardships can drive us into hiding. We hide while also desiring to be seen by God.

The Lord has done some amazing things in the lives of teenagers. I know it’s because of the work of God and the result of prayer. I believe in this generation of students. I believe they will have an amazing impact on our world and will pursue God with great zeal and passion. They want something real, they want to make a difference, and they want to be involved now. We must trust them; we must mentor and train them until they are walking in the calling they have for their lives at this moment.
