Dear Resurrection College Prep Community,

As we continue this academic year, I am filled with gratitude for the many ways our students, faculty, and staff embody the Lasallian principles that guide our mission. This month, I would like to highlight two key values—Quality Education and Inclusive Community—which are evident in the remarkable initiatives and experiences taking place at Resurrection College Prep.

At Resurrection, we remain committed to providing students with engaging, real-world learning experiences that prepare them for future success. This commitment is demonstrated through exciting new initiatives, including:

  • Student-Led Podcast Initiative – A group of seniors has launched a student-led podcast under the guidance of Mrs. Carla Krajcir and the Administration Team. With a dedicated recording space in our library's STREAM Lab, this initiative fosters creativity, communication skills, and leadership, demonstrating the power of experiential learning.
  • Introduction of Our New Case Manager and Intervention Specialist – We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Nicole McGrath to our MTSS team in her role as Case Manager and Intervention Specialist. Her expertise will enhance our ability to provide targeted support for students, ensuring they receive the personalized academic and personal development guidance they need to thrive.
  • Transforming the Bandit Boutique – Our Intro to Business students, guided by Ms. LaValley ’17 and Mrs. Krajcir ’05, are taking on an exciting project: rebranding and revitalizing the school store. Through this hands-on experience, students are applying business fundamentals in marketing, merchandising, and brand strategy while creating a vibrant shopping experience for our school community.

These initiatives reinforce our unwavering dedication to academic excellence and innovative learning.

Building an inclusive and welcoming environment is at the heart of Resurrection’s mission. Several recent and upcoming events illustrate our shared commitment to fostering meaningful connections:

  • Catholic Schools Week Celebrations – As we celebrate Catholic Schools Week with the theme “Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community,” we are reminded of the strength of our faith-driven community. This week’s events reflect our shared commitment to unity, service, and gratitude.
  • Future Bandit Night Success – Earlier this month, we welcomed over 100 prospective students and their families for Future Bandit Night—a night filled with school spirit, camaraderie, and an exciting varsity basketball victory. Events like these provide future students a glimpse into the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere of Resurrection College Prep.
  • Bandits & B.U.D.S. Dance – Our Women’s Club has been working tirelessly to organize this special event, giving students the opportunity to share a fun and memorable evening with the important men in their lives. With a sports-themed celebration on February 22, we look forward to an evening of joy and community-building.
  • Alumnae Engagement Initiative – Ms. LaValley ’17, Manager of Alumnae and Family Engagement, is launching a new alumnae newsletter to strengthen our connection with graduates. Resurrection is not just a four-year experience—it is a lifelong community, and this new initiative will ensure our alumnae remain an integral part of our mission.

Every initiative we undertake—whether enhancing academic opportunities, celebrating our shared faith, or strengthening our community—demonstrates our commitment to the Lasallian values that define Resurrection College Prep. Faith in the Presence of God, Inclusive Community, and Quality Education are not just guiding principles; they are lived experiences that shape our school each day.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our mission. I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events and celebrating the incredible achievements of our students and faculty.

Resurrection Reflections

Locker Upgrade

The lockers have been repainted, and the transformation has given our hallways a vibrant new look! The bold red lockers add a dynamic pop of color, infusing the school with a modern aesthetic and creating a brighter, more inviting atmosphere. This upgrade is not only a visual improvement but also a meaningful step in enhancing our campus environment.

We are delighted with the outcome and deeply grateful to Mr. Lascon for spearheading this initiative. His careful planning and oversight ensured the project went smoothly and exceeded expectations. Thank you for your dedication and hard work in making this exciting update a reality for our school!

Transforming the Boutique

This semester's Intro to Business class is diving into an exciting project: giving the Bandit Boutique a fresh new look! Under the guidance of Ms. LaValley '17 and Mrs. Krajcir '05, the students will tackle everything from selecting new merchandise to rebranding the store. This hands-on experience will allow them to explore the fundamentals of business, including marketing, merchandising, and brand strategy, while creating an updated, vibrant shopping experience for our Resurrection community. Stay tuned for updates as they bring their vision to life!

Bandits & B.U.D.S. Dance

A heartfelt thank you to the Women’s Club members who are hard at work organizing this year’s Bandits and B.U.D.S. dance! This special event provides students with a chance to spend quality time with the important men in their lives. Whether it’s a dad, brother, uncle, or any other male figure, we encourage students to invite someone who holds a meaningful role in their life.

This year’s theme is Sports, so come dressed in your favorite team’s gear and join us for a night of fun and connection. The dance will take place on Saturday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m. Click here to get your tickets!

Future Bandit Night Scores Big!

Earlier this month, Resurrection College Prep's Admissions and Athletics Departments welcomed more than 100 future Bandits for a memorable Future Bandit Night. The evening was filled with energy and excitement as our guests cheered the varsity basketball team to victory over Niles West.

These events offer prospective students the chance to experience the Bandit spirit firsthand, showcasing how our community supports one another in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. With plenty of pizza, ice cream, and school spirit, Future Bandit Night truly embodied what it means to be a Bandit!
