Dear Resurrection College Prep Community,

As we enter the heart of the academic year, I am filled with gratitude for the many ways our community reflects the mission and values of Resurrection College Prep. Guided by our Catholic, Lasallian traditions, we remain committed to forming young women of faith, knowledge, and service. I am excited to share highlights from this fall that demonstrate how our students, faculty, and staff are living out the Lasallian principles of Faith in the Presence of God, Concern for the Poor and Social Justice, and Respect for All Persons.

Faith in the Presence of God

At Resurrection, we are deeply committed to fostering a vibrant faith life within our community. This Advent season, we look forward to weekly Mass, reconciliation services, and reflective programs such as Agape Latte and Young Lasallians meetings. These opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship inspire our students to integrate their faith into their daily lives.

In the classroom, we continue to reinforce our Catholic and Lasallian identity. New classroom wall signs and entrance signage remind students of our mission, creating spaces where faith and education meet. Faculty and staff also remain deeply engaged in formation programs, including recent sessions on our Resurrectionist and Lasallian heritage, fostering a shared commitment to living our values.

Concern for the Poor and Social Justice

Service lies at the heart of the Resurrection experience. Recently, our National Honor Society students partnered with Feed My Starving Children to pack meals for those in need, reflecting our commitment to addressing global hunger. Our first year students also participated in a meaningful service project, creating Thanksgiving cards for residents of local senior homes. These acts of kindness and solidarity underscore the importance of compassion and justice in our mission.

In addition, our students who participated in the De La Salle Blackfeet immersion program are integrating their experiences into a community project, modeling the transformative power of service. Looking ahead, we are excited to launch a new service program in 2025-26 that will provide even more impactful opportunities for students to engage in acts of faith and justice.

Respect for All Persons

This fall, our community has celebrated the rich diversity that defines Resurrection. During Flex Advisory, students explored their cultural heritage, creating a beautiful display of flags symbolizing unity and belonging. This initiative reflects our belief that every person brings unique value and perspective to our school family.

Our dedication to creating inclusive spaces is further evidenced by the launch of RESpresso, a student-created coffee shop that has become a vibrant hub on campus. This initiative not only builds community but also empowers students to develop real-world business skills, preparing them for success beyond Resurrection.

Additionally, I am thrilled to congratulate our first recipients of the Lasallian Values in Action Award, which honors students who exemplify leadership, service, and a commitment to our mission. Their achievements inspire us all to uphold the values of respect, inclusion, and excellence in everything we do.

Looking Ahead

As we prepare for the Advent season and the new year, let us continue to embrace the Lasallian principles that guide our journey as a community. From service projects and spiritual formation to academic achievements and campus enhancements, we are living our mission in meaningful ways. Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in shaping a brighter future for our students.

Wishing you a blessed Advent season and a joyful start to the holiday season.

In De La Salle,

Dr. Rick Piwowarski

RESpresso Ribbon Cutting

The ribbon has officially been cut at RESpresso! We were thrilled to celebrate this exciting new addition to our campus with our amazing community of parents, teachers, staff, and students. A special shout-out goes to our talented Intro to Business students, whose hard work, creativity, and dedication helped bring this project to life. RESpresso is not just a coffee shop—it’s a space for our students, faculty, and families to come together, relax, and make new memories.

Here’s to countless RESfreshers, meaningful conversations, and a welcoming place where we can all hang out, unwind, and enjoy each other’s company. We can’t wait to see how this new spot becomes a cherished part of our school experience!

Fall Signing

Day

Last week, we had the honor of celebrating four incredible student-athletes at our Fall Signing Day ceremony! Congratulations to Julianna Bonafonzi (Carroll University), Mary Fornelli (Loyola University), Molly Reichenberger (St. Norbert College), and Riley McGrath (North Carolina State University) on their commitments to compete at the collegiate level.

The event was filled with heartfelt moments as each athlete’s high school coach shared reflections on their hard work, dedication, and growth over the years. Families, friends, and teammates joined in to cheer them on and capture plenty of memorable photos.

AP Awards

We recently celebrated the achievements of 39 exceptional Resurrection College Prep students who were recognized as AP Scholars by the College Board.

Parents and families joined us for this meaningful ceremony, where we honored students who earned AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Honors, and AP Scholar with Distinction awards. These students demonstrated outstanding dedication and academic excellence through their success in rigorous college-level courses.

Congratulations to all of our honorees for their hard work and perseverance. Your achievements inspire and strengthen the entire Resurrection community!

Montana L.I.V.E. Trip

A group of Bandits embarked on an unforgettable service trip to Montana as part of the Falk L.I.V.E. experience! After arriving on Saturday, they explored the town and took a walking tour of the Holy Family Mission.

Over the next few days, the group visited the Museum of the Plains Indian with Blackfeet Tours, experienced cultural and spiritual talks from guest speakers, and enjoyed a scenic drive through Glacier National Park.

Their time at De La Salle Blackfeet School culminated in meaningful service, participating in Orange Shirt Day, and a traditional Blackfeet community feast. The trip ended with a visit to Running Eagle Falls—a truly enriching experience for everyone involved!
