On May 2nd, we celebrated ten girls and two boys at the Mi Vida 15 graduation with 190 attendees in collaboration with St. Andrew’s, whose generosity and welcoming space helped make the evening so special. Families gathered together to celebrate the hard work, growth, and achievements of our youth participants, creating an atmosphere filled with pride, happiness, and connection.
At the event, each participant was introduced alongside their parents and shared a special ceremonial dance with their loved ones. After dinner and cake, the youth performed a choreographed group dance that led to a big dance party where everyone joined in the celebration.
“A community Quince highlights the rite of passage into young adulthood while reminding families and the community that cultural traditions can be celebrated in a safe, alcohol-free environment. The ceremony places the spotlight on the growth, values, and future of our youth while honoring the importance of family and culture.” - Ricardo Torres
