THE PRIORY POST ~ Thursday, November 23, 2023
The Priory’s mission is to nurture each child’s inherent curiosity, develop an enthusiasm for learning and encourage intellectual and creative initiative, preparing the child to be a responsible, tolerant and self-confident global citizen.
Dear Priory Families,
At The Priory, our hallways are always adorned with student classwork and artwork, showcasing the diversity of topics taught by our passionate faculty. Each time I pass a bulletin board or a wall in the classroom area, I have the fortunate opportunity to learn something new from our students. Priory children have endless opportunities to express themselves in creative and meaningful ways. Their work reflects their academic journey and highlights the tremendous learning that takes place in every class.
During art class, Mme Mossalim aims to present students with projects that not only inspire them to try something new, but also challenge some established rules and push the boundaries of art-making in a fun and creative way. Almost every artist is connected to a new project, allowing them to learn about the artist, as well as the style and era of the work being created.
Here are just a few examples of the artworks created by students of various grade levels that adorn the walls and corridors of The Priory.
Please take some time to appreciate the creative talents of our students!

Santa's Flea Market
It's that time of year again! Our cherished annual event, Santa's Flea Market, will take place on Friday, December 15th. This gives students a chance to do some holiday shopping while also raising money for those in need. All proceeds are donated to charities selected by our student council.
For this event to truly be successful, we really need your help. We would greatly appreciate donations of gently used items that would make appropriate gifts for moms, dads, sisters, brothers, or other special family members. Please look around your home for treasures you no longer need, place them in bags labeled "Flea Market," and ask your children to drop them off in the grade 6 classroom.
We would also appreciate items such as wrapping paper, bags, bows, gift tags, scotch tape, etc., for gift wrapping.
Items range in price from $2-$5. To provide your child with the opportunity to purchase presents for every member of their family, please plan to send your child to school with $10 to $20 (preferably in loonies and toonies) no later than December 15th.

REMINDER: Parent Survey
At The Priory, we value our parent's input. From time to time, we ask families to share their insights and provide us with valuable feedback by completing a survey.
To ensure that our After School Program, in partnership with Laurus Lifestyles, meets the needs of our students and families, we would appreciate your insights. If your child has participated in our After School Program this year, including extracurricular activities and Ped Day daycare services, we respectfully request that you take a moment to complete a short survey.
Your feedback is important to help us provide the best possible experience for our students and families.
