Sunday Salons are informal gatherings of individuals or groups of two or more, with opposing viewpoints on political, social or economic issues. These discussions can occur at our FCLNY offices, in individual homes or in a public place.
They can be private or open to the public. Topics of discussion include, feminism, war-military policy, abortion, human trafficking, poverty, pay equity, race and gender discrimination and environmental justice. Sunday Salons are not debates. They are designed to encourage mutual respect and understanding of opposing positions and perspectives.
