Project management focuses almost exclusively on tracking schedule, to the dangerous exclusion of metrics that are almost always the cause of project failure. 

A project is analogous to an automotive engine, more so than is apparent. Learn on how lessons learned driving a classic sports car can teach us much about effective project management.

Recent Events

On September 10th, Mike Anderson and David Tolan from Scholastic Publications gave an incredible presentation on the agile mindset to a sold out audience. The speakers answered audience questions about commonly encountered project situations, offering sound advice on how to best handle various stakeholders from all levels of management.  Read more

In mid-August, PMINYC Outreach organized a team that helped to beautify NYC. We joined Central Park Conservancy's large-scale horticulture and maintenance project to remove invasive plants from Central Park's grounds. We are lucky to have a team of dedicated volunteers who join, care and give back to NYC. Read more
