Welcome to The Pulse! Please take a minute to check out what's happening at Church of the Apostles.

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

Please join your church in praying for the following requests for the life and mission of the church:

+ Pray for people around us who are considering following Jesus, that their eyes would be open to see him, and their hearts open to receive him as they begin a new calendar year.

+ Give thanks to the Lord for the ways our church has been a blessing to you and to others in the past year.

+ Pray for our Mission Partner, North Raleigh Ministries, as they minister to people who are poor, isolated and discouraged. Pray that as a ministry, they can communicate the hope of Christ's love and presence to those who come to them in need.

+ Prayers for our Church Plants - Redeemer and Christ Our Hope

Please Note ~ There will be one combined service at 10am on Sunday, December 30th.

Potluck, Prayer + Praise | Wednesday, January 2 ~ Please join us for this monthly fellowship gathering! The evening will begin with a potluck dinner at 5:30 in the fellowship hall, followed by a time of prayer and praise in the sanctuary at 6:30.

Mark your calendars for this special congregational meeting! We will be discussing the life of our church in the new year, including results from the recent church health survey. You don't want to miss it!

FINANCIAL UPDATE

2018 GIVING RECORDS

Please note that gifts of securities and mutual funds must be transferred to, and received in, the Church's brokerage account by noon on Dec. 31, 2018 to be included with 2018 giving. Because the church offices will be closed December 25 - 28, we are requesting that you make every effort to bring any year end gifts for the general offering during the services on December 23rd, 24th, and 31st, or simply mail them. Payments mailed and postmarked by December 31, 2018 will be reflected on your 2018 Giving Record. If your bank issues your payment, please allow plenty of time for our receipt by mail. You can always check your giving records by logging into Apostles Link. Click on the Give option in the left margin; go to Schedules/ History tab where you can see your history or print a Giving Statement for you or your family. For any questions about your giving, please contact Laynette Rustin, [email protected] .

In preparation for the mailing of 2018 Giving Statements, please log into your Apostles Link account and review and make any necessary changes to your mailing address.

The Church Office will be closed December 25-28.

Synod 2018 Summary & Photos
In early November clergy and lay leaders from the Diocese of Christ our Hope gathered together for its Convocation and Synod in McLean, VA. This annual gathering provides an opportunity for leaders from all the churches in the Diocese - which range from South Carolina to Maine - to gather together in one location for a wonderful time of worship, teaching and fellowship. Confirmation Interest Meeting ~ December 30

The final Confirmation Interest Meeting will be Sunday, December 30 after the 10am service in the Skittles Room {#206}. Confirmation is available for students 7th-10th grade. Confirmation class will be held on Sundays at the 10am Hour between January 13th and March 31st.
