WHAT'S HAPPENING AT APOSTLES
The Mind of Christ ~ Nick Comiskey
As you can probably tell, we are excited to welcome our new Senior Pastor, Nick Comiskey on July 11th! Take a moment to watch this devotional message from Nick on what it means to have "the mind of Christ."
So why pray a vigil? The book of Acts tells us that the early church was a church that prayed faithfully. As the Church faced persecution and grew, the Apostles prayed together constantly. Often, they prayed for multiple nights and days. In Acts 12, the church gathered and prayed through the night, asking God for Peter’s release from prison. They prayed with such focus that they only stopped when Peter himself walked into the house to greet them, freed from his chains by the angel of the Lord!

As our church looks towards Nick’s first Sunday, and the beginning of a new season, we want to be a church that prays with this same devotion. We want to cover the hours before Nick’s arrival in prayer. Praying for Nick as he steps into his new role, for Nick and Meg as they begin their life in Raleigh, and for ourselves as a church. Thanking the Lord for his abundant provision thus far, and asking that He would continue to bless, preserve, and strengthen Church of the Apostles as we begin this next season.

Our hope is that we could pray as a church from 6pm on Friday, July 9th until 6pm on Saturday, July 10th. If you’re in a Community Group, look for information from your leader on how to pray as a group. Otherwise, choose {below} a 30 minute slot to pray individually or as a family. Additionally, the sanctuary will be open from 8am to 11am on Saturday morning for those who would like to pray together in person.
We hope you'll join us on July 11th as we welcome Nick to Apostles and to Raleigh
{and to North Carolina!}

MINISTRY UPDATES
SAVE THE DATE! More info to come!
We have been so blessed to have an increase in attendance on Sunday morning in our Children's Worship programs! With that, there are many spaces to be filled as Nursery Shepherds and Kid's Club leaders. It is such a blessing to experience worship and talk about God's love with these children. If you are interested in learning more about serving in this ministry, please contact Stacey Wiley {[email protected]}.

Interested, but not sure if you have the "gift of Children's Ministry"? Stacey would love to talk with you about that as well!
There are some bedrock promises in God’s word that are essential for followers of Jesus. Understanding and taking hold of these promises can help you grow as a Christian and overcome challenges in the Christian life.

Join us for a 5-week Summer Bible Study study beginning July 13th on Zoom. This study will be led by Wright Wall on each Tuesday morning from 7:00-8:00am. We will focus on God’s promises in the Bible and how to pass those on to our loved ones.

Interested? Contact Wright Wall.
