Newsweek conducted comprehensive review of 1,000 hospitals
In a comprehensive review of 1,000 hospitals in 11 countries, Newsweek recently ranked North York General Hospital the #2 hospital in Canada and one of the top 100 hospitals in the world.
"We are extremely proud to be recognized as the second best hospital in Canada," says President and CEO Dr. Joshua Tepper. "This remarkable achievement reflects our highly skilled physicians and staff, dedicated volunteers and generous donors. We strive to put patients first in everything we do and this ranking reflects the success of our efforts."
In good hands: The Graham & Audrey Rosenberg Family Cardiac Care Clinic
Arlene Lieberman received the call from the Graham & Audrey Rosenberg Family Cardiac Care Clinic while she was on vacation in Florida. She remembers the nurse said that her mother Ruth wasn't doing well and made sure to list the symptoms carefully. "I knew I had to come home," Arlene says.
"I immediately booked a flight back home, but knew she was in good hands. That's what this clinic provides: peace of mind."
When Dr. Ryan Margau rotated through North York General Hospital during the first year of his residency in diagnostic imaging, little did he know he would be back as a clinician a few years later. In fact, he grew up in Toronto and North York General was his community hospital.
